Research - Use art books in your art rooms, learning resource centre and central library - Computer – Encarta, CD-ROM, internet - Photocopies - Photographs taken yourself - Collect postcards and small artefacts - Read art reviews in the national newspapers Looking at Art - study art from other countries and cultures - Go and look at works of art, visit Wakefield art gallery and Bretton hall Sculpture Park. - When visiting new cities and places abroad tour local galleries - Carry a sketchbook with you to record new and unfamiliar surroundings RespectDisplay - Enjoy the displays of work by students in the rooms and around school – respect this work by looking but NOT touching The Art Rooms - Respect the materials and equipment in the art room by returning these materials in clean and workable order. - Respect the books, sculptures and artefacts from the other cultures on display in the art rooms - Clean work surfaces at the end of a lesson Atmosphere - A productive and enjoyable atmosphere in the art room can be created by:- 1. listening to the teacher, follow instructions 2. listening, sharing and considering other pupils’ points of view 3. share materials fairly 4. Having great respect for other pupils and teachers to earn the privilege to listen to music.
